At first glance, Bread Basket might seem like just a bakery, but it offers far more than bread and pastries. In my opinion, it’s an excellent spot for brunch, whether you’re craving bacon and breakfast waffles or something heartier like steak and mashed potatoes. Their merienda selections are equally impressive, with standout dishes like pansit luglog, pansit lomi,, and a well-curated coffee menu. For those in the mood for Italian flavors, their pizzas and pasta dishes are worth trying. And if you’re looking for Filipino comfort food, their all-day breakfast options, especially the Ilonggo breakfast, are a great choice. Do note that I do not go there frequently, and menu items do change and may even differ per branch so be sure to ask their friendly staff if they still serve it if you cannot see it on their menu right away.

Bread Basket has multiple locations across Iloilo City, but the two branches I frequent and highly recommend are at Atria and SM City Iloilo. Unfortunately, I recently heard that the Megaworld Mandurriao location has closed permanently. A shame, as I have many fond memories dining there.

Most branches have dine-in areas, though some smaller kiosks, like the one in Robinson’s Place Jaro, focus solely on selling pastries and bread. These kiosks don’t offer the full menu available at larger locations, but they’re great for a quick grab-and-go snack. Check out these window display items at the Atria location.

Overall, Bread Basket provides a pleasant dining experience, perfect for casual weekend brunches with family and friends. While the price point may be on the higher side, they make up for it with generous portions and high-quality food.
