C&T Original Bacolod Inasal - My Go-To Place for my Chicken Inasal Cravings in Iloilo
I was a little sad when I saw the C&T Manukan branch in the Atria closed down. It was our go-to place for chicken inasal here in Iloilo City. I was pleasantly surprised that they have simply moved to the next block. I suspect that the rental for the old location was higher. This new location (I have no idea if this branch was here all along or if they moved right after they closed down the other branch) is an open-air restaurant on the second floor of a building. While I miss the cool air-conditioned dining area of the previous branch, I am just happy to enjoy my favorites again.

If ever you are in Iloilo and would like to eat good chicken inasal, I urge you to give this place a try. Some of my favorites are Chicken inasal (Paa or quarter leg part always for me), inasal nga iwi/isol (grilled chicken butts - can't get enough of this one), batikolon (chicken gizzard - the texture might take getting used to), puso (skewered chicken hearts). atay (chicken liver), and bul-o (grilled chicken skin, which happens to be my favorite).
Go for the unlimited rice option. Pour some annatto-infused chicken oil into the rice. Also, don't forget to make your sawsawan (dipping sauce) from sinamak (spiced coconut vinegar), toyo (soy sauce), and kalamansi (calamondin), tailored to your own liking.
The new location is just beside the Atria, Manduriao, Iloilo City. Just walk further along Pasencia T. Pison Avenue and look to your right. It will be beside a Thai massage place and a tattoo shop on the second level.
